On Saturday, October 31, 2015, several Collegiate Boxing Teams from the Eastern Region of the National Collegiate Boxing Association will converge on the MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA to compete in Western Massachusetts' first Collegiate Boxing Event. This event will be organized by Central City Boxing and Barbell of Springfield, MA and hosted by the University of Massachusetts Boxing Team and the Westover Air Reserve Base Boxing Team.
Teams competing in this event will include the University of Massachusetts, University of Connecticut, US Coast Guard Academy, United State Military Academy at West Point, Trinity College and Lock Haven University with special bouts to include the Westover Air Reserve Base Boxing Team. The event will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the MassMutual Center located at 1277 Main Street, Springfield, MA. Doors will open at 12:00 pm with the first bout scheduled for 1:00 pm. All proceeds will go to support the University of Massachusetts and Westover Air Reserve Base Boxing Teams. Ticket Prices for this event are $20.00 (General Admission), $30.00 (Premium) and $40.00 (Ringside.)
The event will include a silent auction involving sports memorabilia as well as an autograph session involving a local sports celebrity.
